Buriram United Jamu Selangor FC pada Leg Kedua Final Shopee Cup

Klub asal Thailand, Buriram United, bersiap menjamu wakil Malaysia, Selangor FC, dalam pertandingan leg kedua babak final ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup 2025/2026 di Stadion Buriram pada Rabu, 27 Mei 2026, pukul 19.00 waktu setempat.

Pertandingan penentu juara regional ini memperebutkan total hadiah sebesar US$425,000 untuk sang pemenang, sementara tim runner-up akan membawa pulang hadiah sebesar US$215,000.

Buriram United saat ini mengantongi keunggulan agregat tipis 1-0 berkat gol sundulan Suphanat Mueanta pada pertandingan leg pertama yang berlangsung di Stadion MBPJ, Petaling Jaya, pekan lalu.

Kekuatan lini serang tim tuan rumah dipastikan meningkat tajam seiring kembalinya penyerang tajam asal Brasil, Guilherme Bissoli, yang telah mengoleksi enam gol dalam delapan penampilan di kompetisi ini.

Bissoli sebelumnya terpaksa absen pada pertandingan leg pertama akibat hukuman kartu merah yang ia terima saat menghadapi Johor Darul Ta'zim di babak semifinal.

Di kubu lawan, Selangor FC harus tampil tanpa diperkuat oleh dua pemain pilar asal Yordania, Noor Al-Rawabdeh dan Mohammad Abualnadi, karena harus memenuhi panggilan pemusatan latihan tim nasional mereka untuk Piala Dunia FIFA.

Meskipun demikian, Selangor FC menaruh harapan besar pada sang kapten, Faisal Halim, yang sudah mencetak empat gol sepanjang turnamen untuk memutus puasa gelar mayor klub sejak tahun 2015.

Pertandingan final penentu ini disiarkan secara langsung melalui saluran Thai Rath TV Channel 32 serta platform YouTube milik BG Sports mulai pukul 19.00 waktu lokal atau pukul 20.00 waktu Malaysia.

"It's a huge boost," kata Mark Jackson, pelatih kepala Buriram United kepada bangkokpost.com.

"He's hungry, he's fresh, and he knows what this occasion means. We'll be stronger with him back."

Jackson menegaskan bahwa skuadnya berada dalam kondisi mental yang siap meskipun mereka mengantisipasi perlawanan sengit yang berbeda dari tim tamu pada laga penentu ini.

"This tie is far from settled. Selangor will come at us differently. We've managed the recovery well, and the boys are mentally prepared. But we expect a battle."

"It will be important for us to have him back. I know he will be eager to play," kata Mark Jackson kepada thestar.com.my.

"The second leg will be a different game but we know how to manage the recovery process and prepare the boys physically and mentally for the game because this tie is not over."

Di sisi lain, pelatih kepala Selangor FC, Kim Pan-gon, tetap menyuarakan optimisme tinggi untuk membalikkan keadaan dan merebut trofi juara walaupun kehilangan dua pemain pentingnya.

"It was a tough game in the first leg," kata Kim Pan-gon kepada aseanfootball.org.

"Our performance also wasn’t giving what we have 100 percent and after this game we acknowledged our performance."

Kim menambahkan bahwa seluruh tim telah melakukan evaluasi mendalam dan mempersiapkan strategi baru untuk membongkar pertahanan tuan rumah sejak menit awal.

"We talked a lot to correct some things and to make a new plan for this game, so everything is good at this moment. I believe our players are full of confidence that we can turn back the result to gain the championship tomorrow."

"I think the two of them are very important players for us, but still I believe all our other players are ready and they have quality," kata Kim Pan-gon.

"Selangor are not relying on one or two players. We play as a team so, for me, I don’t think it can have a big effect on tomorrow’s game."

Mantan pelatih timnas Malaysia tersebut menegaskan pentingnya mencetak gol penyeimbang secepat mungkin guna meredam tekanan dari pendukung tuan rumah di Stadion Buriram.

"It’s very important, I think, how quickly we can equalise," kata Kim Pan-gon.

"Then let the opponent team attack us. If they score the first goal they will park the bus and it will be very tough for us."

"In tomorrow’s game, how early we score will be very important. Tomorrow should be very exciting."

"We still have 90 minutes," kata Kim Pan-gon kepada bangkokpost.com.

"Anything can happen. We'll correct our mistakes, we'll attack, and we'll go for it. Confidence is growing in the squad, and we will be strong."

"Technically and tactically, our technical team will work on it over the next two days and we will prepare very professionally."

"Yes, the first leg was a difficult match and our performance was not at the 100% level we expected from ourselves. "What is very important, in my opinion, is how quickly we can equalise. This will certainly be a very challenging match for the team, so scoring early could change the course of the game tonight. We have made big plans for this match and I believe today’s game will be a very exciting one for the supporters," kata Kim Pan-gon.

Sementara itu, kapten tim Selangor FC menegaskan kesiapan penuh seluruh pemain untuk memberikan segalanya di pertandingan terakhir musim ini.
